Your Bolt app.
Your main domain.

Bolt publishes to a bolt.host address or to Netlify, and a custom domain gets you a subdomain. Utilly serves the app at yourdomain.com/tools next to the site you already run, with Bolt still doing the hosting.

Either publish target works
Bolt Cloud or Netlify, it makes no difference. The published URL is the origin, and the path on your domain is whatever you choose.
Redeploys flow through
Change a prompt, redeploy in Bolt, and the new version is what /tools serves. There is no second deploy step on the Utilly side.
The tool earns links for your domain
A free calculator or generator is the kind of page people link to. On a path, every one of those links builds the domain your products rank on.

Live in four steps

Bolt keeps hosting. Utilly does the routing.

1

Publish in Bolt

Deploy the project the way you already do, to Bolt Cloud at a bolt.host address or through the Netlify integration.

2

Connect the origin

Add the published URL to Utilly as an origin, next to the site that serves the rest of your domain.

3

Map and preview /tools

Choose the path, then walk through the app on the preview: each screen, each form, each client-side route.

4

Go live

One DNS change. The marketing site keeps /, Bolt serves /tools, and every redeploy in Bolt shows up there.

Bolt custom domain FAQs

Why can Bolt not put the app on a path of my domain?

Bolt connects a custom domain to a project by pointing the whole host at its hosting, on Bolt Cloud or Netlify. That gives you tools.yourdomain.com at best. Serving yourdomain.com/tools next to a site on another platform needs a reverse proxy in front of the domain.

Does it matter whether I publish to bolt.host or Netlify?

No. Utilly points at whichever URL Bolt publishes to. If you later move the project between the two, you change one origin URL in Utilly and the path on your domain stays the same.

Do I connect the domain in Bolt or Netlify as well?

No. Your domain points at Utilly. Bolt and Netlify keep serving the app at the URL they already gave it, and nothing about your domain needs to be configured on their side.

Does Supabase keep working?

Yes. A Bolt app talks to Supabase from the browser, and those requests go straight to Supabase without touching your domain. Only page loads on yourdomain.com pass through Utilly.

What should I check in preview?

Deep links to client-side routes, a full page reload on an inner screen, and any form the app submits. Those are the places a single-page app can misbehave under a subfolder, and the preview exists so you find out first.

Can I run more than one Bolt project on the same domain?

Yes. Each project is one origin and one path: /tools, /calculator, /quiz. Every one of them builds the same domain instead of three separate subdomains.

Serve Bolt from your main domain.

Add the published URL as an origin, map /tools, and go live with one DNS change.
